We are Paul and Nancy Maitre the owners of this beautiful campground. Together, we have over 75 years of camping experience. Site information  Our campground offers various types of sites from Primitive to Modern. We offer a dump station for our overnight guests and have a "Honey Pot" with pick-up service for our extended stay guests (see fee schedule for more information). 

Site Types Bluegill Lake Family Camping Resort offers a variety of sites types for overnight, weekly, monthly and seasonal stays.

Primitive Camping:  In the woods on the opposite side of the lake. Limited vehicle access which only allows pop-up and tent camping. Offering old-fashioned hand pump water and an outhouse (modern port-a-johns can be installed as well) Electric Only:  Large, mature, shaded sites (sites 68-75) Regular sites:  Large, mature, shaded modern sites (sites 6-17, 29-31, 36-48 and 82-99) Preferred sites:  Large, mature, shaded modern sites that are conveniently located close to the washhouse, have view of the lake or backing up to heavily wooded areas (sites 1-5, 32-34 and 54-67 and 76-81) Premium sites:  Large, mature, shaded modern sites that are located on the waterfront (sites 21-25 and 50-53) Cabins:  Waterfront location, one room with a storage loft area. Each sleeps 4 (1 full size bed and a twin bunk bed), small refrigerator, microwave and a coffee pot - bed linens/sleeping bags/pillows are not included in the rental and should be brought with you Group sites:  Due to our layout, we have the ability to place groups together, depending on camping requirements. Camp Store: Featuring groceries, ice cream, firewood*, ice, boat rentals, novelty items, candy, fishing items, and camping supplies with a special emphasis on Michigan made products Recreation/Activities Building:  Spacious, clean, enclosed facility with ping-pong, foosball, board games, planned activities (weekends and holidays), Xbox 360 with a large screen TV (for group activities and for inclement weather) Beach Area:  Clean, sandy area located close to the store/office with water inflatables for the enjoyment of our guests Amenities:  Nature trails, boat rentals (canoes, kayaks, paddle and row boats), fun cycle rentals, fishing * , themed weekends with planned activities/crafts, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes and a playground area with swings, teeter-totter, sand box, a play structure and new for 2013 life size board game

In order to improve the quality of the fishing at Bluegill Lake, currently we have initiated the following regulations: All fish are "Catch and Release" until June 15th. From then on **Bass (under 22") and Perch are "Catch and Release"; no limit on Pike; Bluegill and Crappie are 20/day/site. Turtles should be left alone, if caught by accident, notify the office.  When you hook that trophy fish, let us know, we'll take a picture for you and our "Wall of Fame"  * Transporting firewood into the campground is not permitted. It is available for purchase at the camp store. ** Larger Bass usually aren't very tasty!
